These beautiful and unique 'Binga Baskets' or also known as 'Tonga Plates'. Each plate is made from cane grass which has been handwoven by the Tonga women of the southern province of Zambia. Traditionally the baskets were (and still are) used for carrying maize or sorghum from the fields and then winnowing the grain. 

These baskets will add contrast, texture and authentic atmosphere to any space. They are also a simple and stunning way to introduce pattern, natural texture and substance into your home. 

They are lightweight so can be wall-mounted easily or can be used as tableware decor.
